Joe Koury

Joe started going to doll shows as a teenager in the 1980’s. Since then, wherever he lived, he attended local shows and built friendships with other collectors.

With Queens of the Doll Aisle, Joe hopes to foster that sense of community with collectors in the Pacific Northwest. He also wants the show to evolve as the hobby evolves, so we are always welcoming new collectors.

Joe collects dolls from the 60’s and 70’s, with a focus on fashion dolls like Barbie, Francie, Tuesday Taylor, and Darci. He also collects quirky dolls like Leggy and Fashion Flatsy.

Pete Tenuta

As a young boy in Chicago, Pete survived the tragic Christmas of 1983, when Santa neglected to bring him the Cabbage Patch Kid he desperately begged for. He went on to spend the rest of his life making up for it. As an adult, Pete collects Blythe, Jem, Glamour Gals, and Superstar era Barbies. In his spare time he likes to build miniatures and photograph his collection. His husband Alex always makes sure there is a doll under the tree at Christmas.

Pete is looking forward to meeting fellow collectors, and is absolutely thrilled to work with the top notch vendors of the Pacific Northwest.
